All aboard the Powervan Mossel Bay (previously Diaz Express), a fun rail experience for the whole family run on the existing Transnet rail network in the Garden Route region of South Africa, between George and the seaside resort of Mossel Bay. Hartenbos, a popular tourist destination, serves as the main point of departure with excursions to a variety of attractions including the ever popular Great Brak River, Glentana and Maalgate.
Visit the boutique coffeeshop/art gallery Seeplaas where you can enjoy stunning scenery and good friendship over a cup of coffee with “something sweet”; and afterwards lose all track of time amongst the exceptional artwork of Ken Maloney. Or go to the Opispoor Pub & Grill on the station premises, with endless views over the Great Brak River and lagoon.
Sit back and experience the lovely views over the Indian Ocean (with a ringside seat for whale watching during the season), the river estuaries, the bridges and the tunnel, as the railway line meanders high above the seaside resorts and past the indigenous plant life of the Cape Floral Kingdom.
